Suppose Andrew Cuomo had been just as politically powerful, just as arrogant and just as ruthless as he turned out to be -- but did *not* engage in sexually predatory behavior. Would he still be in office today?

Almost certainly, he would.

So the question becomes: What is it in the political organization and culture of New York state that enabled Cuomo to amass this power? Do any of the potential candidates for governor, members of the State Legislature, newspaper editorial boards or political commentators have any idea how to answer that question? And if they do not, are we in for more of the same?

Cuomo is vicious and mean and I’d be glad to see the back of him. But, I’m getting irritated by the boomer bashing which is endemic by now. Some of us bought your book, contribute to your Substack and might even have voted for you.
