They chose a side and it is the paper of record for half of Americans. Half of the country believes everything they write, half of the country doesn't believe anything they write. 'Tis the times we live in.

This isn’t wrong exactly but the analysis of the Times clout leaves out the general decline in the credibility of media writ large. Yes the Times is far more dominant in the legacy media landscape than it ever was, but the media itself has declined in power. With that said, as we are seeing with the Ukraine info wars, it still is very powerful

Does anyone need Taylor Lorenz, the rich girl who embodies being able to dish it out (to teenagers, anyway) and not being able to take it?

Yeah, the novelty of social media ended years ago and this policy as you said probably doesn’t go far enough, but it is a move in a good direction. Left-wing politicians, and ACTIVISTS should take a similar stance tbh. If I’m being a bit selfish.
