Interesting read. Personally I believe Adams will fall into trouble and the media will turn on him, I'm not currently convinced it will be anything the left does to cause this. I believe your current analysis is right. However, I believe that Adams Hubris and heavy handed approach will lead to him being the architect of his own failure. He's playing very fast and loose, all while establishing himself as the ultimate decider/leader. Eventually people are going to hold him to that.

I loved the Brandy Snifter piece about Eric Adams that ran in the NYT last week, and Adams’s interview with Ezra Klein about his vegetarianism. Would love more deep dives on how the Adams playbook for political power works!

It’s only been a week!!! The schools are a mess, COVID spreading like a wildfire and Adams steadfastly refused to delay reopening a few days. What Adams is missing is policies .. he’s had almost six months since his primary win … 9% unemployment is more than troubling, skyrocketing violent crime is nationwide, more cops on the streets has never worked, a vibrant economic recovery lifts all boats. Most New Yorkers are more worried about the struggling Knicks than Adams … if he can help resolve the baseball lockout he’d be a hero.

Yes, the Post has given him a pass, we only see the public indiscretions, remember the iceberg effect, 90% is below the surface.

I doubt the FBI will give him a pass.

He’s a disaster waiting to happen, and, who would replace him: the Public Advocate- Jumanne Williams
