Admire your chutzpah writing “a” great American novel. I’m an octogenarian, reader of everything Updike and his contemporaries, but as one who has seen Rapid Robert pitch, and having lived the “Glass Century” plus, look forward to your book.

Thank you! You remind me of my father, who I don't think saw Feller but saw DiMaggio and Williams and many others. Updike is good, my favorite of his is Couples, my father loved the Rabbit series

How in the world did you get away with comping to DeLillo? I’ve heard all comps need to be 5 years old max, and this sounds like Underworld DeLillo.

I can’t wait to read this. I’ll be pre-ordering as soon as you share the link.

ha, he's one of the all-time greats, and I've read most of his novels so it trickled in and I love his ambition and the gem-cut prose

I appreciate the honesty here. And the belief in yourself. It takes years to remember that we are the most important supporters in our own ring. Glass Century will be a pleasant follow up to Major Arcana. After spending a decade finishing my latest novel, I'm hankering for contemporary literature--contemporary as in firmly positioned in the here-and-now. It looks like I've found a few great examples with Pistelli's work and yours, too.
